Purpose of The Role:

The ideal Project Manager is accountable for leading the cross-functional teams that ideate, design, develop and launch new products for Pampered Chef. Furthermore, this individual manages the overall NPD process, making improvements to drive efficiencies and enhanced communication as needed for the organization. Sharing clear communication to key stakeholders about project status, key risks and action plans to ensure product success is integral to the role. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage cross-functional teams to ensure NPD projects are launched on time and within budget while meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Develop seasonal launch timelines based on critical path milestones, ensuring alignment and transparency to drive accountability, and clearly articulating dependencies and risks to project goals to key stakeholders.
  • Balance multiple seasons in parallel, understanding how to prioritize workloads of the team to maximize effectiveness.
  • Effectively manage and facilitate project kickoff meetings, regular project status meetings, key alignment and Gate meetings, commercialization planning meetings, and lessons learned discussions.
  • Own New Product Development process, monitoring effectiveness and gaining alignment for modifications as needed to increase efficiency of the teams and business.
  • Manage project performance using key reporting metrics, escalating constraints and delays to management as appropriate.
  • Support annual commercialization and field promotional activities including National Conference and other in person events.
  • Act as liaison and/or representative for Product Management team on other business teams as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of project management and/or project coordination experience leading cross-functional teams within durables market required; 5+ preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field strongly desired
  • Technical proficiency in project management application; PMI or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience leading international cross-functional team preferred.
  • Experience with financial rollups and budget oversight of product development and ability to create and present scenarios.
  • Experience with off-shore and domestic development; Understanding of basic manufacturing processes and associated lead times strongly preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Ideal candidate has experience managing with and without PM software suites; Experience launching a software or transitioning between software platforms a plus.
