Description

ThinkTime, a subsidiary of Productive Edge, is leading the retail industry with its revolutionary SaaS and mobile product. With our impressive list of premier global clients and exponential growth, we’re looking to add a Scrum Master to be part of this exciting time. This role is responsible for managing a delivery team for key areas of the application, driving adoption of best practices in the Agile/Scrum-based delivery methodology, budgetary and schedule accountability, and more.

ThinkTime is a sophisticated SaaS and mobile product, with 8 production environments spread across 3 global regions, support for over 30 languages, employing advanced technologies such as Microservices, Kubernetes, ElasticSearch, and event driven architecture. ThinkTime is used by the largest and highest profile global retailers in the world, each with 10s of thousands of locations, 100s of thousands of users.

As a Scrum Master at ThinkTime, you will be a member of a high-performing team delivering software solutions to customers. Your days will normally consist of the following activities:

  • Own the delivery and technical support of key areas within ThinkTime.
  • Manage a cross-functional team consisting of backend and frontend developers, QA staff, and devops engineers, to ensure features and fixes are delivered on time and with quality, following the Scrum methodology
  • Collaborate with Product Owner to ensure stories are clear and well defined, and to resolve any questions or issues found during development
  • Ensure team is working efficiently. Identify any issues or roadblocks impeding delivery and work with team and stakeholders to quickly resolve them.
  • Report to and collaborate with the “Release Train Manager”, to ensure all commitments for the release are delivered
  • Work with “Release Train Manager” and Product Manager to allocate features, improvements, and bugs to sprints.
  • Facilitate core Agile meetings with one or more teams (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Demo, and Backlog Grooming)
  • Triage production issues, and allocate to sprints based on priority.
  • Report on project status, budget, schedule, and Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time
  • Manage the sprint backlogs, in collaboration with Product Owner

To excel in these daily activities, a Scrum Master at ThinkTime would make valuable contributions drawing from the following experience and skills:

  • Minimum 2 years experience delivering sophisticated, mission-critical, high-quality software solutions in a timely manner
  • Minimum 1 year experience acting as a Scrum master or following another agile methodology
  • Development/technical knowledge and skills a plus
  • Ability to provide “gut check” reviews of developer estimates/activities
  • Acts as “squeaky wheel” when it comes to risks of not delivering quality features, or not meeting release commitments.
  • Exhibit an attention to detail and continuously strive to produce the highest quality product, and documentation (Scrum burndown charts, team velocity and other sprint artifacts)
  • Track record of learning and successfully implementing the most effective new tools and approaches as they become available.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Successfully completed multiple projects working in an Agile environment that includes offshore team members
  • A self-starter who requires minimal supervision, having excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to handle diverse situations
