Position Summary:

Position Title: Senior Project Manager 

Reports to: Implementation Lead  

Supervises:  n/a

Collaborates with: Customers, potential customers, current users, Technology department, Customer Success department, New Product Development department, various NowPow administrative staff, and select third party vendors.

 

Position Description:

NowPow is seeking a Senior Project Manager that will take on the definition and execution of customer projects as the technology launches at large hospitals and health systems. In this role, you are responsible for leading end-to-end projects for NowPow customers, including the technology connection component of the implementation process. You will collaborate closely with NowPow’s Technology Department and will be required to successfully navigate across all NowPow departments to ensure customer success. Your daily functions include managing multiple complex projects, meeting regularly with customer project teams, collaborating across NowPow for each project, ensuring customer satisfaction, and continually seeking ways to improve the implementation of NowPow technology and our customer success program. You will acquire an in-depth understanding of NowPow’s systems and capabilities to provide solutions to our customers. As a Senior Project Manager, you will be able to define and create new structure for projects, rather than just implementing previous processes.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead large-scale end-to-end implementation projects at hospitals and health systems,

working with the customer project teams to finalize the project goals, scope, work breakdown, and milestones

  • Lead client meeting with senior level executives
  • Work closely with NowPow’s engineering team to successfully build and launch technology connections with electronic health record systems
  • Work across NowPow departments to prioritize support issues, schedule development time, and communicate timelines and fixes effectively to customers
  • Identify process gaps and eliminate issues impacting progress
  • Bring groups together to ensure focus, maintain an attitude of commitment, and share responsibilities/needs from each member involved
  • Understand the impact of new software releases and how they impact ongoing customer projects
  • Identify and track areas of risk, develop mitigation plans, and build consensus on key project decisions
  • Manage select 3rd party vendor activities and ensure they are meeting their commitments
  • Gain a deep understanding of the NowPow technology and understand all moving parts as they relate to implementation
  • Define new NowPow use cases and business requirements for technical projects
  • Continually think of ways to improve the implementation process
  • Participate in strategic planning conversations with advisors and internal team
  • Create and maintain a list of Frequently Asked Questions that relate to implementation to assist with future technical projects
  • Additional tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of experience leading large technology projects and teams (e.g. software development, system implementations, business analysis etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working on large scale projects to implement and/or interface with electronic medical record systems
  • Experience designing and leading project-based work
  • Experience with project management techniques and tools
  • Ability to adhere and promote standard project management tools, procedures, and best practices
  • Experience managing both internal and external teams
  • Customer service experience and experience managing customer support initiatives  
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytic skills and extremely high attention to detail
  • Comfort working in a start-up environment
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and strong track record of setting and meeting delivery commitments
  • The ability to be candid and forthright and conduct oneself with maturity and integrity in all situations
  • Charismatic attitude and willingness to work on a dynamic mixture of tasks no matter how big or small
  • Commitment to social impact initiatives and helping underserved communities
  • PMP or PMI certification is a plus
