Groupon is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to work with a variety of engineering teams located in over 5 countries across the globe. This role will focus on lead project managing engineering-related projects. This will include project tracking from initiation to completion, resource and vendor management, and contract negotiation, software development lifecycle and various large scale project/program initiatives.
Required Skills:
7+ years of proven successful project management experience
Previous experience in leading multiple large-scale projects with cross-functional teams in a fast paced environment
Successful completion of building out large-scale project plans (150+ lines) with resources, effort, dependencies, and full SDLC
Proven successful communication with both developers and non-technical business partners, including progress and issues reporting to all levels within the organization, as needed
Familiarity with software development lifecycle, including scheduling and scoping
Experience working closely with Production Operations teams, including site reliability, networking, hardware, and systems engineers
Familiarity with Google docs, Jira or similar project planning tools
Amazing time management skills
Strong problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organization, prioritization, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
Desired skills:
Bachelor’s degree in technology, CS, or information systems
Agile project management experience
PMP or other project certification preferred
Experience with startup environments as well as larger scale enterprise projects
- Experience in International / Global companies; e-commerce preferred
