Job Description

Solution Integration – Project Manager

As part of the Global Solution Delivery and Integration Services Team, the will be responsible for overseeing our development partner to ensure the Global solution is fully integrated, validated and ready for deployment to the market delivery teams. The Solution Integration Manager will develop a strong relationship with the Segment Run & Deploy teams to understand market specific considerations and integration points, as well as work with our development partners to develop a deep technical understanding of the solution to act as the key McDonald’s contact for the market and their delivery teams.

Responsibilities

Technical Solution Review

-Develop deep technical understanding of full solution stack and integration points

-Identify market specific integration points and provide feedback to be considered as part of technical designs

-Assist in design of backend integration APIs and product integration

-Meet with Architecture and POD dev teams to develop deep technical understanding of upcoming features and functionality, including the following,

-Detailed understanding of business requirements

-Proposed technical designs

-Impacted applications

-API contracts

-Call structure and Data Flows between and within applications/services

-Work with dev and architecture teams to understand DevOps implementation strategy and corresponding progress of implementing DevOps principle, which includes,

-Understanding of what principles will have market impact

-Deployment strategy to the markets

-Work with VDT and dev teams to establish key handoff points and development of appropriate documentation to ease in delivery, including but not limited to the following,

-Technical Designs

-Architecture Diagrams

-Testing Strategy, including plans, coverage and targets

-Provide oversight of VDT teams to ensure realistic and accurate market delivery plans, specifically related to,

-Proposed tech stack

-Delivery dates (Dev, QA, Delivery to Market)

-Test Plans/Strategy

-Environment Plans/Strategy

-Provide oversight to VDT and Dev Managers on following,

-Validation Plans of Key Integration Points, including application dependencies

-Triaging of integration related issues

-Provide governance on integration of backend product / services / assets

-Act as McDonald's expert on solution delivery related activities of Corporate Solution through,

-Regular and impromptu communications to relevant stakeholders and leadership

-Acting as escalation point for market and provider

Market Engagement

-Develop relationship with Segment Run & Deploy Teams to understand market issues and concerns

-Through Segment teams, work with MDTs and market teams to understand market constraints and account for market dependencies

-Work with Segment, market and MDTs to understand market landscape and develop deep understanding of the following,

-3rd party solutions across all markets

-Integration variances into core solution across markets and market specific solutions

-Market specific configurations

-Marketing strategies and plans

-Work with Segment, market and MDTs to understand key feature requests and educate teams on technical deployment considerations for upcoming features and functionality

-Work with development partners and segment teams to communicate key handoff points and review of appropriate documentation to ease in delivery, including but not limited to the following,

-Solution Designs

-Deployment Approach

-Testing Strategy, including plans, coverage and targets

-Infrastructure requirements

-Market Environment Handoffs

-Educate Segments teams on deployment strategy into the market (blue/green vs. upgrade) and ensure MDT and market teams clearly understand requirements for each work with provider teams to structure clear responsibility coverage map at the corporate and market levels

-Act as McDonald's expert on solution delivery related activities through,

-Deep knowledge of market concerns, constraints and pain points

-Regular and impromptu communications to relevant stakeholders and leadership

-Acting as escalation point for market and provider

-Work with the Segment teams to understand challenges and provide guidance to the provider on integrating market’s local systems

Minimum Requirements

Solution Readiness

-Work with provider resources on integrating products and services to create holistic and testable solutions

-Provide oversight of development and market services teams to ensure all levels of testing have been completed and have met targets for market delivery, this includes,

-Integration

-QA/Regression

-Performance

-Security

-Work with provider teams to triage integration related issues and ensure that solution is ready to be fully deployed to market teams and environments

-Work with provider teams to establish predictable, repeatable and functional delivery of solution to the market through implementation of DevOps principles

-Work with dev teams to ensure deployability of the solution is considered up front

-Provide governance over performance of solution, including understanding,

-Modeling

-Test Results

-Configurations

-Provide governance on how DevOps can be implemented for the last mile

Deployment

-Work with provider in ensuring that market preparations have been accounted for

-Provide governance in post mortem reviews to identify issues in deployment and full SDLC

-Ensure that market specific technical issues make it back to request backlog for consideration in future releases

-Implement process improvement in appropriate areas of development lifecycle
