Primary Responsibilities

  • Support sales efforts by leading and delivering detailed demonstrations of InfoScout's solution capabilities to CPG companies and retailers (in addition to other prospective customers) as a subject matter expert, in coordination with the outside sales team assigned to those accounts
  • Support the sales team in developing proposals for customers related to custom project analyses
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Client Services team to document ROI for insights delivered to clients
  • Possess a deep understanding of InfoScout solutions and services including their key differentiators versus legacy approaches and competing offerings
  • Work with strategic customers and InfoScout's leadership to identify and prioritize new solutions and enhanced capabilities within InfoScout's portfolio
  • Understand everything there is to know about InfoScout's data collection and attribution process to be an external and internal technical expert
  • Comfortable with facilitating internal and client sessions on strategic business questions and identifying potential solutions with 5-15 people
  • Discover and explore interesting facts about consumer behaviors for presentation in industry forums, articles, whitepapers and blog posts
  • Travel, as required, to support the above responsibilities
  • Deep understanding of both syndicated and household panel data (Nielsen, IRI, and/or NPD)
  • Strong understanding of quantitative survey methods and analysis
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills, particularly with customers or prospects present
  • CPG and Retailer knowledge, including knowledge of consumer and category insights (must be able to speak the language at a granular level of detail, understand their key strategic initiatives and how consumer data can be leveraged to achieve their goals)
  • Experience in providing customer demonstrations of a SaaS based software solution
  • Microsoft Office expertise (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • SQL knowledge a plus, but not required
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a timely manner

Experience Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree (preferred) with at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a software client services role or sales engineer position for a company selling into consumer products and retailers
  • CPG experience in Brand Marketing, Market Research, Category Management, and/or Shopper & Consumer Insights roles or experience as a service provider to these functions
  • In addition, Nielsen or IRI experience (in any delivery function) is ideal
  • Relevant experience in a Consultant, Manager, or Director level capacity
  • Working knowledge of enterprise software applications and services designed for the retail and consumer goods industries is highly valued (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby)
  • Experience as a power user of Microsoft Excel and Business Intelligence software such as Microstrategy, Tableau, QlikView, or Business Objects
