Overview: Asset Management is in need of experienced Project/Program Manager to support our Enablement office. As part of team responsible for the transformation and implementation of key initiatives across the Northern Trust Asset Management space, the candidate will play a key role in delivering value for stakeholders across the firm. The high paced, evolving position will provide exposure to a variety of functions, from Portfolio Management, Marketing, Operations, Data and Analytics to regulatory and compliance functions, the Enablement office support the ever changing needs and demands of the Asset Management firm.

Project Manager Role: The individual will be responsible for all part of project management from meeting schedule and organization, meeting minutes, action logs, project plans, budget monitoring forecasting and actual verification. Candidate will also be responsible for overall status and will be leveraged as the "go to" individual for the implementations as a whole. Additionally the individual will need to be aware of the ongoing efforts and transformation in the overall NTAM portfolio to predict and recommend appropriate project phases and implementations along that continuum.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business functional activities
  • Following standard project methodology, keeping in mind triple constraints of Time Cost and scope to execute appropriately
  • Creates and maintains Project Plans, issue logs, tasks, and risks.
  • Leads complex initiates involving multiple disciplines and or ambiguous issues
  • Displays a balanced cross functional perspective, liaising with the business and IT to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity
  • As a subject matter expert, provide comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to project teams and sponsor(s)
  • Strategic in developing, implementing and administering projects or programs within the functional area as well as those that expand functions and business units
  • Responsible for direction interaction with different committees and management as appropriate to achieve objective
  • Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, cross functional requirements and project sequencing.
  • In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
  • Highly flexible and adaptable to change
  • Gathers all project updates and tracks them according to program direction and structure.
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Maintains NT confidence by keeping information confidential
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate data and develop integrated analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations.
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting

Experience Level: 10+ years experience in the asset management space leading and participating in transformational initiatives. PMP qualification preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to impact and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills

Experience in any of the following Asset Management applications:

  • Eagle, Aladdin, Eagle Pace, Corric, Code Red, Archer, Tegra 118
  • Experience in cloud based storage and processing inclusive of ADW, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Google Studio, Microsoft Azure, Azure Data factory, Batch or portal.
  • Data rendering platforms such as Power BI or Any experience with Fortify or previous Northern Trust experience, financial background, team leader
