Department OverviewConsidering our customers' unique "jobs to be done" is a foundational principle of the Chief Technology Office (CTO). Based on these customer needs, we create solutions by applying our experience in user experience and design, human factors research and artificial intelligence (AI). Software and hardware technology and platform solutions developed by the CTO form the basis of many products and solutions offered by Motorola Solutions.
Job Description
As a CTO project manager you will be responsible for managing and tracking multiple projects focused on Discovery and Proof of Concept. You will be working with agile development and user experience teams as concepts are refined for handover to business units. You will drive development, demonstrations and customer trials as well as preparing for handover to business unit.
Project Manage multiple projects with multiple work streams for various types of new technical or business offerings, including management of customer trials.
Be the hub of coordination for the projects; between multiple internal and external teams
Be firm but fair in judgment helping the project team to maintain focus on the business priorities while exploring emerging solutions.
Effective project set up, tracking and reporting, risk and issue analysis, budget control, and quality assurance.
Work with the Business Lead to make sure that a project is doing the right thing in the context of an ongoing business relationship.
Desired Skills/Experience:
Comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast paced and evolving environment.
Strong communication skills for working with customers in trial implementations.
Excellent analytical and problem solving
Must be a self motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives.
Manage conflicts and issues effectively. Ability to suggest ways forward and get consensus during difficult conversations.
Must have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
Basic Requirements
3+ years of project/program management or engineering experience
Bachelor’s Degree
