We're building on our world class team with the aim of streamlining our project management and release delivery. The Ocient team consists of highly technical engineers who work in a fast paced environment. Our ideal Sr. Technology Project Manager is detailed, passionate, and dedicated to project organization. The Sr. Technology Project Manager role aims to manage and ensure successful deployment of product features.

Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with the business to develop project plans including project scope, release schedule, milestones, deliverables, etc.
  • Manage multiple projects in various stages of development
  • Track and monitor project execution to ensure that business requirements are met
  • Work with the leadership team to identify and manage resource requirements, required skill sets, training plans, documentation, and weekly meetings required for project execution
  • Lead development of project management process improvements
  • Validate project plan and schedule to incorporate any changes requested by the business
  • Coordinate calls, meetings and communications between all stakeholders of projects
  • Record and effectively communicate project status, schedule and key issues to management on a regular basis
  • Utilize Project Management principles and tools to document status and project plans
  • Understand technical challenges and requirements that arise during development
  • Track defects and assist with categorizing and root causing system failures
  • Organize and manage the internal documentation system

Qualifications: 

  • Experience coordinating and delivering projects across teams
  • Experience using Project Management principles and tools
  • 5+ years experience in project management role
  • BS or MS in computer science or related technical field
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent multitasking and organization skills
  • Relationship building

Experience with the following is a plus:

  • Experience with relational databases
  • Experience setting up infrastructure in a data center, including network configuration and monitoring
  • Advanced understanding of installing and configuring databases, JDBC/ODBC drivers, and database monitoring solutions
  • Experience with project tracking software Aha, JIRA, BigGantt and/or Confluence
  • Experience using source control management systems GitHub and/or GitLab
  • Experience using CI tooling such as Jenkins and/or GitLab
