Motorola Solutions Supply Chain is focused on supporting growth by meeting customer commitments, increasing cash flow by reducing inventory and improving margins by reducing the cost structure. As an IT organization in service of that goal, our role is to optimize end to end systems and process to ensure customer commitments are met. To reduce costs, we champion and drive automation, e-commerce and B2B solutions.
Job Description

The IT Supply Chain & Procurement Digital Transformation Lead will advance the business goals of the Supply Chain and Procurement functions at Motorola Solutions by developing, leading, executing and continuously evolving the digitization strategy. The role calls for a thought leader, systems thinker and business strategist that understands emerging and disruptive technologies and is aware of how they could be used within Supply Chain and Procurement to exceed enterprise objectives. The person in this role will be responsible for developing and implementing the Digital Technology roadmap in partnership with the business. The role will stay abreast of changing technologies and evolve the technology roadmap to reflect the next round of changes

Position Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Ensuring clarity of strategy, scope, and focus of transformation, including key metrics to communicate progress and barriers

  • Engaging senior leaders to support, fund and execute on new digital initiatives

  • Owning the technology roadmaps for Supply Chain and Procurement

  • Combining strong technical acumen with clear communication and stakeholder leadership to identify requirements, and manage tradeoffs on all technology initiatives that impact the overall digital supply chain. 

  • Actively partnering with the business functions to evaluate new technology vendors, service providers, etc.

  • Working with business functions to define and align enterprise processes for digitization prior to investing in technology solutions in order to maximize ROI and drive to a global supply chain and procurement digital capability.

  • Communicating the impact of emerging technologies and industry trends on operational workflows and provide recommendations and solutions for how to adopt new standards and requirements

  • Ensuring ongoing cross-functional connectivity and participation as we progress a digitization plan that will have cross-enterprise impact

Desired Skills/Qualifications:

  • Leadership experience in multiple supply chain functions will be an advantage.

  • Demonstrated experience leading digital transformation across a large group with multiple, diverse stakeholder s at all organizational levels

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and influence investments in technology capabilities to advance a strategy

  • Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical teams and executive stakeholders to communicate strategy, direction, and status of technology and operationally-focused projects and initiatives

  • Experience working within a matrix and multi-business environment

  • Proven track record in project management with experience in leading cross business projects

  • Strong strategic vision and the ability to develop and execute change ideas

  • Executive level written and oral communication skills, including presentation & negotiation skills.


Basic Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional relevant experience

  • 4+ of technical acumen experience with business analytics, automation, procurement and supply chain end to end technologies, Artificial Intelligence, or similar disciplines

  • Bachelor's degree required
