Summary of Responsibilities: The Supply Chain Special Projects Manager is a key member of the Supply Chain team, assisting in the team’s tactical and strategic direction and responsible for working on complex supply chain and sourcing projects that support cost savings, product innovation and rapid growth.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop strategy for SC projects:
- Work with leaders in culinary, sourcing, and product insights team to identify top areas of opportunity
- Create strategy hypotheses rooted in data analysis, industry research and customer research
- Execution of major supply chain initiatives
- Act as the project manager for implementation of most critical or impactful supply chain projects, ensuring projects or initiatives deliver value
- Work cross-functionally within the supply chain team, and the wider Home Chef team to create buy in and understand potential impact of project on production, marketing, and culinary teams
- Feasibility studies and business cases
- Conduct supplier research and outreach to understand capabilities and feasibility
- Create cost models to understand financial impact of projects
- Work with teams across Home Chef to ensure full impact of the project is understood and modeled
- Cross-functional work:Spend time at production facilities understanding the impact of products and suppliers across operations teams, including fulfillment, operations excellence, food procurement, warehouse, food safety, etc.
- Identify places that supply chain can work better with the rest of Home Chef and implement changes that improve cross functional collaboration
- Think outside the box to deliver game-changing ideas and solutions to complex challenges

- Strong prioritization and project management skills
- Experience spearheading execution on large-scale, high-impact projects
- Excellent communication skills, with experience creating buy in with a range of stakeholders such as hourly employees, customers, suppliers, and executives
- Proactive in identifying problems and finding innovative solutions
- Ability to understand the big picture as well as exceptional attention to detail
- Skilled at dealing with ambiguity and working in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent analytical skills
- MBA or consulting background preferred
