JOB DESCRIPTION
Technical Project Manager, Security is responsible for the overall maintenance of the information technology and security projects at Supernova. This role also takes an active role in working with our IT vendors, security vendors and projects, managing compliance audits, due diligence requests, planning new technology projects, and coordinating changes between external vendors and internal stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage security projects such as the pen testing exercises, disaster recovery, and ensure findings are documented and addressed.
- Manage tracking of vulnerability findings
- Own relationships with security and critical IT vendors
- Manage third party due diligence requests and compliance audit
- Analyze system security on a variety of information systems, network devices (firewalls, routers, and switches), web server, and database applications
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of security policies and procedures (e.g., user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines)
- Support the certification and accreditation process for IT systems and networks, including preparation of key documentation and planning and conducting security tests and evaluations
- Execute security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information; identify, research, and monitor attempted efforts to compromise security protocols
- Represent the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all IT projects with regard to security issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years’ project management skills, experience on managing implementation for IT projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with a diverse customer and employee population
- Ability to manage change and priorities and coordinate/realign project resources as necessary
- Expert knowledge collecting and communicating scope from complex and/or ambiguous opportunities
- Self-motivated leader and problem solver who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Agile methodologies, experience working with offshore development team
- Technical background, prior hands-on development experience preferred
- Familiar with the Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira)
