The Account Manager is responsible for day-to-day interactions a new enterprise client, by establishing new and maintaining existing relationships with key peers on the client team. This person will work across a selection of extremely fun and authentic brands and be responsible for overseeing the team of Production Managers that are responsible for the operations, procurement, production, and execution of the client’s jobs and/or projects.  The Account Manager will have direct accountability for implementing a best practice process and ensuring the Production Management Team is following the process.  The Account Manager will also be responsible for tracking KPIs, reporting and quarterly business reviews.

responsibilities

  • Oversee and facilitate a process for procurement, production, creative, shipping, and billing preparationfor the client’s jobs and projects; be a vital link between the client, creative & production team, and centralized billing team to ensure all terms of the contract and engagement are delivered flawlessly.
  • Build successful partnerships with the client business leads and key decision makers to increase and expand revenue opportunities by identifying production solutions and evaluating current spend.
  • Proactively negotiate with new and existing suppliers to drive down costs and deliver process efficiencies for the client. Continually improve margin and profitability on all jobs.
  • Prepare and oversee the status of all client jobs and/or projects, confirm that all jobs are delivered on-time, and expedite operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Attend briefs, liaise with agency (if applicable) and client stakeholders and provide strategic guidance to the production team to optimize bidding and production processes.
  • Ensure contract obligations are being met by both InnerWorkings and the client.
  • Work closely with the VP and wider account team to share learnings and ‘Best Practices’ across the business, and with other clients in the beer, wine and spirits vertical.
  • Create and present Quarterly Business Reviews in conjunction with the VP.
  • Consistently exceed client expectations and ensure the production team is providing superior customer service.
  • Responsible for using our procurement system management and project management system (VALO).
  • Work across multiple high profile and premium brands and act as guardian for the client brand integrity and development of those brands

requirements

  • 7+ years sourcing and developing branded merchandise, POS, displays, print, digital a plus
  • Exceptional client management and account management skills gained in a direct client interfacing role.
  • Proven experience in consistently exceeding targets and driving growth within client accounts.
  • Experience in managing POS in beer, wine & spirits vertical required.
  • Experience managing a team required.
  • Proven project and account management skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills (ability to juggle multiple projects), great attention to detail and follow-through, ability to multi-task and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Dynamic personality with a progressive and disruptive mindset - the status quo does not belong here!
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface with senior level professionals.
  • Experience excelling within fast paced, high energy environments.
