The Account Manager position is highly visible and on the front lines of our growing organization. You are responsible for actively prospecting and assisting prospective clients through the entirety of the selection and sales channel. Carlease aims to serve as a long-term solution-oriented partner for our Business Clients and successful Account Managers will be measured on their ability to close new business opportunities, pro-actively and creatively identify potential sources of new business, and penetrate organizations mining for future and additional transaction flow to accelerate fleet transaction turns while maintaining the client’s ultimate goal of budget-conscious management of fresh and serviceable fleets. We aim to be a partner for life for our clients and therefore client retention throughout vehicle life cycles is of equal importance as new account penetration.

A major component of the role is to understand and identify the unique needs of each client, what they value and how their fleet supports their business. Using this understanding, this role will be responsible to develop, communicate and own an ongoing strategic Business Plan that delivers an optimal fleet program, tracking and measuring progress every step of the way. As the owner of the client relationship, the Account Manager leads the collaboration effort with the Head of B2B Sales and Partnerships, Finance, and Management teams to deliver results that align with the strategic plan.

  • Occasional travel may be required and will vary by client need.
  • The Account Manager will be expected to become competent and proficient in our CRM, pricing, and prospecting software and solutions sets.
  • You will be required to work independently and maintain a self-starter temperament as we are a lean and growing organization where resources are fully allocated to the business segments.
  • You will be a team player first with excellent communication skills with an ability to work with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, finance, development and technology, and operations.
  • You will be asked to lead transactions and account management from end-to-end inclusive of management of procurement through coordination with Carlease’s delivery team.
  • First and foremost, we are a client service organization and exist for the benefit and ease of execution of vehicle procurement on behalf of our clients. This concierge approach should underpin your day-to-day activities and interaction with prospects, customers, and teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Carlease is redefining the way consumers and businesses source leased vehicles. We aim for consistent account growth and 100% client retention.
  • Effective and strategic management/ownership of Carlease clients
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of each client - their fleet needs, goals and business objectives. Annually create and execute Account Management Plans for each client inclusive of scheduling and modeling vehicle turnover and new opportunities.
  • Routinely uncover opportunities that allow clients to continue to optimize their fleet. Communicate these opportunities effectively to win trust and buy-in.
  • Proactively analyze fleet data to provide recommendations that support their business objectives
  • On-going knowledge development is a must for this position – the ability to continually expand and develop your professional skills and knowledge; industry knowledge, client knowledge, vehicle and product knowledge.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Several years of progressively responsible work experience that includes direct client contact in a business-to-business, enterprise sales, or financial services environment. Demonstrated experience in account management, consulting, strategic planning and implementation and high-level customer service along with project management, problem-solving ability and analytical skills is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree, or at least seven (4) years equivalent related experience is a minimum requirement for this job.
