Paro is looking for someone that is interested in both sides of the house when it comes to 1) Finance and Accounting, and 2) Internal F&A and our marketplace finance operations. The Accounting Manager reports to the VP of Finance, and is expected to provide quality leadership to his/her department and is responsible for all day-to-day accounting operations of Paro and it’s Marketplace.

Position Overview:

• Own the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting
• Prepare and review monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Work with and prepare reports for VP of Finance
• Timely and accurate processing of all bookkeeping responsibilities
• Manage the accounting implications of client payments and Expert payouts
• Audit marketplace transfers and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Interface with other departments to improve accuracy of posted transactions
• Work with our billing representative to keep customer accounts current

Requirements:

• 4+ years experience in small business accounting
• Desire to roll up your sleeves and in time, run the entire accounting department for a fast-growing company in the startup world
• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations, and more importantly, the ability and willingness to learn more
• Experience in QuickBooks Online or another similar accounting software
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel and data reporting, and knowledge or willingness to learn Looker reporting
