RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Grow our engagement with one of our most important clients through:
    • Proactive client consultation and problem-solving with stakeholders up to global C-level
    • Leveraging your analytical and technical skills to create new streams of value to establish Nielsen as a strategic, highly-connected partner
    • Leading and cultivating a high-performing team
  • Exhibit highly-developed probing, listening and feedback skills, resulting in clarification and confirmation of client needs. Guide others to do the same.
  • Act as a role model for the Nielsen Values and instill these in your team
  • Build a culture of strategic collaboration across the Nielsen organization to identify and install best practices
  • Handle sensitive client discussions including those related to financial & acute situations
  • Own and manage operating plan and revenue targets
  • Apply analytic problem-solving and solution creation to Retail industry business issues

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOU

Using your advanced consultative or analytical expertise, previous CPG/Retailer experience and familiarity with Nielsen data, you are able to develop purposeful business insights to help your client make data-centric business decisions.  You have well-honed consulting skills that enable you to establish credibility with senior client leadership and deliver measurable business results.  You enjoy developing junior team members, ensuring clients are getting the most value out of their Nielsen relationship and are comfortable seeking opportunities for additional client engagement. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred                                                                                                             
  • 8+ years’ relevant experience
  • Preferred background: CPG/Retail Strategy, Consulting, Customer Success, Analytics            
  • Consultative, fact-based and persuasive engagement style
  • Experience with data integration to drive actionable insights & recommendations   

General Skills

  • Proven experience in leading large, dynamic client engagements,, resolving client issues & growing partnerships through building trust and innovative problem-solving                                                                                                           
  • Proven track record in retail/CPG strategy, customer success, market research/analytics and/or consulting
  • Revenue accountability with experience in financial & contractual management                                         
  • Able to lead, motivate, develop & inspire a team                            
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to drive client outcomes while managing multiple priorities
  • Highly-developed blend of proactive mindset, consultative client engagement and forward-thinking analytic vision
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, adapt and apply analytic solutions to client business issues
  • Strong presentation, negotiation and influencing skills

Note: Position is based remotely (ideally Chicago location or East coast between Maine and North Carolina) with client travel up to 30-50% on average depending on candidate location.
