Business Development – Channel Partnerships

Powered by technology and a network of over 1,400 restaurants, Fooda feeds hungry people at work through our ongoing food programs located within companies and office buildings. Every day, each Fooda location is served by a different restaurant that comes onsite and serves fresh lunch from their chef’s unique menu. Now with over 30 million meals sold, Fooda operates in nineteen major US cities and plans for continued expansion.
Position Overview:
Fooda has expanded rapidly and now operates in 19 US markets, but we are not done yet! We are looking to add a sales specialist to our national sales team that focuses on nurturing existing channel partnerships and creating new ones.
This role is focused on finding national and regional partners that can provide incremental sales opportunities for Fooda services. While this role has some account management responsibilities, it is a hunter role that is focused on leveraging our existing relationships and developing new ones which allow Fooda to expand quicker and with greater success in each of our pre-existing markets. This role may require up to 50% travel.
Who You Are:
- You have 4+ years’ experience in a Sales and/or Business Development role (preferably in an outside sales capacity)
- You’re competitive – you chase your goals and do what it takes to win
- You believe results matter most, period. Effort is the most important ingredient.
- You have proven success in following a successful sales process
- You have successful cold calling experience with a successful method to find new leads and opportunities
- You have a cheery disposition and positive attitude – startups are a rollercoaster and a great outlook is paramount
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
- This is a hunter role; your goal is to close business and launch new sites for Fooda across our new and existing markets
- Conduct outbound calls to build relationships and set meetings with potential partners
- Work with Fooda’s Marketing department to support their efforts at national and regional trade shows
- Close new accounts through in-person meetings with potential customers
- Leverage current national relationships to help acquire new business
- Be resourceful in reaching new customers and show diligence with following up on your leads
- Demonstrate high energy, bring a positive attitude and enjoy making a lot of phone calls
