Business Development Representative

Competiscan is a leading-edge market intelligence/research company which provides Fortune 1000 clients with real-time access to competitor marketing and communication materials. Our service-based model encourages our clients to leverage our research team to access data, develop analysis, and present trends as part of client subscription-based reports and services. 

We seek a Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our growing and exciting sales team. The Inside Sales Coordinator will drive growth in revenue via syndicated research subscription sales. We will provide the resources and proper training to help procure new sales opportunities. Competiscan will be doubling the size of our already robust and market leading platform in the next two years.  The Inside Sales Coordinator will benefit directly from these growth opportunities.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

·        

Conduct outbound telemarketing/digital activities toward targeted prospect lists and other call campaigns. This includes making daily outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach. On average 30-60 per day calls/emails per day

·        

Generate prospect appointments – Accountable for setting 2-3 appointments a day from an abundance of qualified leads

·        

Build and cultivate relationships by initiating communications and conducting follow up qualification in order to move new business opportunities into the sales funnel

·        

Perform initial needs assessment and identify prospect pain points to determine how Competiscan solutions could address those needs

·        

Develop and increase industry/product knowledge and acumen to position Competiscan’s value proposition to multiple vertical segments

·        

Maintain accurate records of all activities and contacts in Salesforce.com   

·        

Conduct research to expand prospect list using tools like ZoomInfo, LinkedIn and other methods

·        

Successful candidate will be professional when speaking and/or communicating with prospects

·        

Verify qualifying questions, phone numbers, addresses and email addresses with each prospect

Desired Skills & Experience

·        

College degree required

·        

1-3 years of sales, marketing or business development experience is preferred

·        

A dynamic hunter personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential

·        

Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal, written, and active listening)

·        

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

·        

Experience with Salesforce.com a plus

·        

Team oriented with ability to succeed in an ever-changing, entrepreneurial environment  

·        

Ability to exercise judgment and work independently

·        

Works well under specific metrics driven success measures
