Content Marketing Manager
The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for both the development and execution of our ABM / thought leadership /Content strategy. A primary objective of this leadership position is to develop and deliver content and support our sales teams as they take prospects and convert them into customers and customers and grow them into core customers. Our Content Marketing Manager will evolve our support strategy for scale while expanding our content, insights, and experience offerings. They will become experts at understanding the nuances of the buyer's journey across different industries and developing a corresponding data-backed sales support strategy. That process involves planning, organizing, and executing top-tier, segmented content programs.
Essential Functions:
- Manage daily operations of a team; mentor and coach direct reports; provide performance feedback and develop skills.
- Design and deliver the innovative thought leadership content and marketing programs that competitively differentiate Arrive’s services.
- Connect thought leadership content marketing to sales goals by developing strong relationships with Sales Leadership and other internal stakeholders and leaders to understand the sales team's training and internal communication needs.
- Work cross-functionally across the Marketing team to develop content marketing programs that showcase our current services and utilize various types of deliverables to support new business development, accelerate opportunity velocity and expand and retain existing business.
- Ensure the timely and effective implementation of all core content marketing plans.
- Regularly assess and support annual planning, determining the best approach to core content alignment and positioning alongside sales goals and target market needs.
- Collaborate with other areas of the marketing team such as digital demand, creative, product marketing and communications to integrate key messaging and positioning through all collateral materials and provide strategic direction that empowers teams to develop copy for marketing communications deliverables including, email and web content, case studies, newsletters, brochures, and other materials as needed.
- Evaluate programs, processes and systems that no longer serve the business and evolve them to work alongside our long term needs and initiatives.
- Lead content efforts in collaboration with a content writer and creative leader to develop and deploy on an ad hoc basis. Review and approve various deliverables, including scheduled content and special projects.
- Maintain a deep understanding of brand, audience, and company objectives on an ongoing basis to ensure all communications make clear how the work ties back to our broader mission, goals, and values.
- Proactively engage with the sales team to determine sales enablement needs, and work with to create value-add content.
- Utilize and explore competitor research, industry research and relevant reporting.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, graphic design or related field
- 5+ years of experience in content marketing and sales marketing
- 3+ years of management experience
- A great listener and fantastic creative problem solver
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to develop and learn new processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work cross functionally.
- A fast and efficient learner who is able to pick things up quickly.
- Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on writing and editing.
- Organized and meticulous enough to juggle multiple projects & timelines simultaneously.
- A collaborative problem solver who is comfortable working through people to get results
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position will supervise a team of individual contributors on the Marketing team.
