Critical Freight Sales Representative
What you will be doing:
As the Critical Freight Sales Representative, you will be focused on finding the most cost-effective capacity in advance for MoLo’s future loads. You will be assigned a specific region or customer accounts to build relationships with strategic capacity to cover challenging shipments. You will execute effective pre-book sourcing capacity techniques including high outbound call volume, truck matching, continuous loads, and build strategic partnerships with key contacts at trucking companies.
The compensation for this role is a base salary plus commission with a no draw structure. Instead, you will be incentivized on the volume that you book and the Critical Freight Sales Rep will receive a commission amount for each load serviced with a minimum of 120 loads covered / month to qualify. As you exceed 120 loads covered / month, the commission increases as more volume thresholds are met.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work with the Assistant Manager to find capacity to cover challenging freight within your region or for a specific customer accounts
- Focus on sourcing capcity for both same-day and advanced loads which include early load times, challenging markets, and prioritizing time sensitive loads
- Execute effective pre-book sourcing techniques which include, but are not limited to, high outbound call volume, inbound call overflow channel, truck matching, continuous loads, and build strategic partnerships with key contacts
- Work cross functionally with the customer reps to find same-day or future capacity for spot loads
- Participate in bi-annual performance reviews and monthly 1:1s with your manager
Location
You will have the opportunity to select your location preference while filling out the application. You have the option to work in our Chicago headquarters or work full-time remote.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum 1 year of third-party logistics experience is required
- Sales minded with an enthusiasm for building relationships through outbound calls and exceptional negotiation skills
- Proven ability to execute on same-day capacity sourcing techniques
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics
- High attention to detail and proven ability to multitask
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to align growth initiatives with industry leading service levels
