The Role: 

We're looking to add a Director of Account Management to deepen relationships and continue driving value with our existing clients. Specifically, this role requires working side-by-side with our Client Services team to develop client strategy, help coordinate delivery of Morning Consult products and services, expand commercial opportunities, and own the negotiation and renewal process.

Success in this role requires working seamlessly and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders alike. Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate that they can both think strategically and execute relentlessly in an (oftentimes) ambiguous and (always) fast paced environment.

As one of the first members of the Account Management team, Directors will have significant opportunities to expand their role and responsibility, contribute to the overall firm's strategy, and help build the account management capability.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Work with teams at Morning Consult to achieve agreed upon growth targets and renewal rates
  • Research and pursue business opportunities through in-person events, pitches, and inbound requests
  • Present, promote and pitch products/services
  • Utilize CRM tools to track the progression of opportunities as well as internal team performance
  • Help formulate and execute on client strategy
  • Coordinate commercial efforts with team members and other departments

 

Desired Skills:

 

  • 4+ years’ experience leading account management at a SaaS, consulting, research, or other data services firm
  • Proven track record of professional success
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to allocate time effectively across multiple projects and clients
  • Familiarity with the survey research field and its methods a plus
  • Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
  • BS/BA or equivalent
