Workbox is seeking a full-time Director of National Sales based in our Chicago headquarters. This role is key to our continued real estate sales growth while also helping to lead our expansion plans beyond our home market of Chicago. This position will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for recruiting, managing, and incentivizing our real estate salesforce across Chicago and future markets. This individual will help work within budgets and be accountable for hitting revenue targets.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys managing teams and who is excited about the opportunity of building out a division in a fast growing environment. The current team includes three full-time salespeople and a director of marketing with dedicated inbound and outbound sales roles.

In the first 30 days, you’ll: 

Work closely with the CEO, sales team, and the Director of Marketing to learn our sales & marketing strategy, the services we provide to members, and all about the co-working industry.

In the first 60 days, you’ll: 

Get to know our members better to understand how Workbox supports them in their growth. By this point, you will be up to speed on what makes Workbox tick.  You’ll develop sales strategies for new & current markets, start to optimize our sales operations, and will be responsible for the performance of the sales team and metrics for selling co-working/accelerator memberships. 

In 90 days, you’ll: 

  • Manage the sales team and track individual sales targets
  • Help hire talent across different Midwest geographies (and beyond)
  • Provide monthly updates on performance targets to the CEO and Executive team
  • Help streamline processes, systems, and reporting lines for the sales team
  • Build a scalable platform that can be leveraged nationally
  • Train sales members to be more efficient sellers, standardize performance targets, and approve/set commission payouts

 

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience managing sales teams and individuals 
  • 5+ years in a sales role
  • Experience setting up/monitoring CRM platforms and other sales software tools 
  • Experience managing to a budget and a track record of hitting revenue targets
  • Extraordinary organizational skills and attention to detail  
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Uncanny ability to meet deadlines and get things done 
  • A leader by example

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience leading the full sales cycle in real estate, hospitality and/or co-working industry
  • Experience with tools like Hubspot, Zoominfo, Apollo.io and Linkedin  
  • Strong writing and natural communication skills  
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
