Director, Sales Development

About The Role

The Director, Sales Development will be a driving force in the success of Yello’s goals and objectives by managing the Sales Development Representative team and identifying and creating new sales opportunities.

How You'll Make An Impact

  • Lead and manage a team of sales development representatives (SDR) responsible for fielding multiple sources of leads (Inbound and outbound)
  • Build a sales development team and campaigns to successfully execute the sales plan 
  • Day-to-day management of team members, including performance management, new team member recruitment, and employee development.
  • Define a sales process to drive qualified prospects and identify improvements as necessary.
  • Drive strategic planning, quota and compensation construct.
  • Drive KPI management including monthly and quarterly forecasting.
  • Work cross-functionally with the EVP Sales, Account Executives and entire Marketing team to grow pipeline, and campaign strategies focused on target market segments.
  • Consistently achieve monthly quotas at both the team and the rep level
  • Provide strategic guidance to team on how to qualify and sell Yello as a must-have business tool to prospects
  • Utilize Salesforce for all tracking and reporting, ensuring all sales team actions are appropriately tracked and recorded
  • Work closely with Marketing Team on lead generation metrics along with developing effective promotional material and sales campaigns that align with the Yello brand

What We're Looking For

  • Proven ability in successfully building and managing a sales (development) team
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with a focus on sales development
  • 5+ years of metrics/results-driven experience in enterprise software or services technology company, ideally in a SaaS arena
  • Experience in a technology start-up environment with demonstrated aptitude, flexibility, determination
  • Extremely strong communication and relational skills, both interpersonal and written
  • Knowledge of HR, HCM, ERP or CRM software markets highly desirable 
  • Must be able to sit or stand for continuous periods of time
  • This role frequently communicates/interacts with individuals, must have strong written and oral communication skills
