Director, Sales Development

The Role

The Director, Sales Development will lead the team of sales development representatives in North America. This team plays a critical role in our go-to-market execution, our ABM strategy and our full-funnel approach to lead qualification/conversion.

What you’ll do

  • Leading the team responsible for enterprise pipeline generation in North America
  • Training the team on methodologies, process and product
  • Evaluating and refining the qualification/conversion process to improve results
  • Maintaining strong relationship with NA Sales & Marketing team
  • Driving the team to exceed monthly opportunity and pipeline targets
  • Funnel management in alignment with the operations organization
  • Detailed reporting and use of data to refine performance
  • Maintaining up to date knowledge on all aspects of the digital ecosystem for your team
  • Self-determined to improve your skill set career progression
  • Having fun, being creative and solving problems

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience working in a SaaS organization
  • 5+ years experience building and leading a team
  • An obsession with delighting customers and prospects
  • A keen knowledge of the digital environment
  • A proven record of exceeding targets
  • Capable of coaching in-depth discovery with prospects
  • Passion for coaching and developing future sales and leadership talent
  • Intelligent with an ability to learn quickly and use data

  • Obsessive attention to detail and data analysis; experienced using salesforce and reporting
  • Organizational and project management skills essential; be comfortable with and excel at managing multiple projects of varying scale and tight timelines at once

Leadership & Management Requirements

  • Lead - Ensure project/team success by taking ownership of deliverables and assist/perform analysis, testing, support, training, or all other campaign and optimization tasks as necessary
  • Management - Experience building, managing, and directing a successful team and building team culture
  • Build Relationships – Make realistic commitments and prioritize collaboration within the marketing team and across functions. Have honest conversations that build confidence and trust among all groups and stakeholders
  • Manage Financials & Budgets - Contribute to project financial reporting including budgetary, forecasting, ROI analysis
  • Leverage Best Practices - Ensure core digital marketing and project management processes are being adhered to with attention to resources, timing and budgets
  • Communication - Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills specifically in front of executive-level audiences
