The Groupon+ team is rapidly scaling merchant supply and consumer demand in pursuit of highly ambitious targets. The following role plays a critical function in this mission.

 

As DSM you will oversee the management of the entire live merchant experience. You will be the leader of a set of teams within this department: Merchant Ambassadors (SWB), Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), and Account Managers. You will be responsible for the merchant experience from launch into perpetuity (including retention, re-engagement, optimization, and new product roll-out). As a new department, you will be instrumental in shaping the roles, functions, and processes. Your thumbprint, thoughts, and creativity will be key in iterating and innovating. As Groupon+ scales, you will play a key role in maintaining our massive merchant supply and hitting revenue targets. As Groupon+ evolves, you will help drive deal optimizations and new product adoption, as well. In this role, you’ll train, develop, and grow employees. You’ll lead through any ambiguity and build a strong, cohesive team.

 

Essential Areas of Responsibility:

  • Managing cross-functional employees of various levels

  • Owning and delivering on the merchant experience through efficiently running a team which handles:

    • Launches

    • Merchant value proposition reinforcement

    • Invoice/billing preparation and incrementality identification and communication

    • Optimization and new product offerings

    • Merchant retention and re-engagement

    • Maintaining a massive supply of merchants and the flow of revenue

  • Growing the merchant supply and revenue

  • Identifying, developing, and growing talent

  • Defining, revising, and creating processes along with operations

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Groupon Values & Leader Habits

Qualifications and Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years management experience.
