Groupon Getaways, the travel arm of the Groupon business, is currently looking for a Market Planner.  This role is responsible for optimizing promotion and market levers within the Getaways organization.  Revenue maximization will span multiple areas of focus including but not limited to: optimization of promotional schedule, key market and partner focus, promotion quality optimization, and account strategy. The Market Planner will leverage insights and key reporting tools to evaluate opportunities and liaise with Sales and Operations team members to execute on opportunities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Guide Sales team members on partner and individual promotion structure, pricing, and inventory strategies based on insights and analysis

  • Analyze promotion performance to gain understanding of optimal promotional structure, pricing, and inventory

  • Evaluate market and partner prioritization for assigned territory and drive Sales team to focus activities on key priorities

  • Monitor pricing and inventory trends within the Getaways organization – including but not limited to competitive pricing, relative pricing, available inventory – and drive optimization where applicable

  • Evaluate market and key partner performance with a goal of applying learnings to improve future revenue performance

  • Optimize guidelines for promotional structure, pricing, and inventory for supply partners within assigned territory in order to control promotional quality and drive revenue

  • Lead monthly/quarterly territory reviews aimed at highlighting key challenges and opportunities with an ultimate goal of determining and driving future revenue maximization

  • Optimize marketing exposure for key promotions / partners for assigned territory

  • Own, manage (and assist with) the deal approval process
