Compensation: Full-Time, Base Salary and incentives

Critical success skills include the ability to:

  • Establish credibility with executive decision makers and influencers.
  • Build/Maintain a large network in the Chicago metro area, preferably within the IT and Healthcare leadership community.
  • Prospect, establish, build relationships and manage client issues.
  • Develop account executive relationships to cross sell, upsell and retain existing clients.
  • Demonstrate a strong business acumen.
  • Understand and speak to both the technology and healthcare industries.
  • Use social media to engage with new prospects.

Key job responsibilities include the following:

  • Expand professional services client base.
  • Build, maintain, and grow C-level relationships.
  • Agree on and establish aggressive yet achievable sales goals with executive leadership, and deliver on defined sales goals.
  • Optimize and evolve inbound and outbound sales processes through data-driven, results-oriented evaluation and experimentation.
  • Drive company marketing strategy and oversee execution.
  • Develop account prioritization criteria.
  • Define the sales strategy and playbooks tailored to each client segment.
  • Contribute to the proposal development process.
  • Regularly meet with executive management to review activity, guide further direction, evaluate performance, and develop coaching plans.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to evaluate and evolve short, medium, and long-term tactics to further Carminati Consulting’s reputation as a leading provider of professional services.
  • Hold weekly sales meetings with management to review pipeline and strategize creative sales approach to close deals.
  • Log and maintain sales opportunities within Salesforce.
  • Report metrics on opportunities, leads and sales achievements monthly.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of proven success leading professional services sales including project sales, with relationships ranging from director-level to C-level contacts.
  • An exceptional rolodex and a strong ability to successfully leverage these relationships both individually and as a team.
  • Extensive experience building client portfolios of $1M+, including experience with service agreements ranging from a few team members to 5+ team members.
  • Be outgoing and engaging, and genuinely interested in continuous learning.
  • Be an exceptional individual contributor and coach who can both work with salespeople on the front lines and develop and execute coaching plans for the team’s continued development.
  • Be a creative, entrepreneurial salesperson with exceptional leadership and critical thinking skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of how to navigate a large organization to assess which accounts may benefit from our specific resources, as well as a strong ability to evaluate the merit of creative new tactics.
  • Exceptional discipline, attention to detail, and motivation; fully capable of responding to consistent challenges and going above and beyond as needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. This includes being fully capable of building and maintaining a respected boardroom presence.
  • Engagement with clients and attendance after regular business hours will be expected in order to build relationships with clients.
  • Travel throughout the Chicagoland area for meetings, and outside the Chicagoland area as needed to attend conferences and trade shows, or as client needs require.
