The Media Partnerships Manager is responsible for building relationships with vendors and delivering on annual media revenue targets. You will be the subject matter expert to our vendors, owning end to end growth and consulting with them on strategies to optimize their digital advertising efforts. In this role, you will own end-to-end media growth strategies for your vendors. You will be responsible for developing their vendor accounts through the establishment of joint media planning relationships, understanding vendor budgets, planning cycles and key stakeholders, conducting business reviews and annual upfront planning, and conducting general solutions-based sales functions such as presenting concepts, proposing ideas and closing deals.
Your efforts will be supported by and executed in tandem with frontline sellers from support agencies and aimed at helping vendors reach customers/shoppers with clarity, transparency and efficiency. As an expert in retail media, the Media Partnerships Manager will be a resource to assigned vendors, offering objective support for their key initiatives, reporting on the status of planned media programs, and helping them navigate the broader ADUSA organization.
Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role
- Lead partnerships efforts within assigned vendor portfolio by setting vendor-based media plans to hit short- and long-term revenue targets.
- Deliver gross media revenue in line with annual sales objectives.
- Effectively explain, drive usage of and support execution of national and shopper media partnerships that scale across the great local brands of Ahold Delhaize USA.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on retail media (i.e. digital display, paid search, in store) and digital advertising technology to target, optimize, track and measure 1:1 shopper interactions at all touchpoints.
- Successfully partner with channel owners and stakeholders, navigating conflicts to arrive at best outcome for the overall business.
- Optimize relationships with relevant support agencies and other third-party partners.
- Align Peapod Digital Labs monetization strategy against prescribed content framework and guidelines that maximize revenue potential while maintaining customer experience as defined by local brands.
The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients
- Bachelor's degree
- 8-10 years of experience in sales, account management and/or business development, preferably for a retailer
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in publisher monetization or yield management, digital advertising operations or sales, online advertising technology sales or services
