We're excited to share that financial services startup, Affirm is setting up shop in Chicago's River North neighborhood! This office will provide us with a much needed midwest outpost for our Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Product teams. Join us on our mission to build honest and transparent financial products that improve lives.

As our first Sales Development Manager in our new office, you will be reporting to our VP of Sales to lead and train our inside sales team, driving our top-of-the-funnel merchant acquisition strategy. You will partner closely with other sales leaders to align on pipeline generation, from Mid-Market size brands to Enterprise. Do you consider yourself a pioneer and a culture leader? What You'll Do

  • Hire, onboard, manage, lead and inspire a team of sales development associates
  • Manage key metrics to ensure pipeline development to meet revenue goals
  • Develop, build and coach a sales development playbook and training program that includes outbound cadences, email content and phone tracks
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Operations to develop, implement and train more efficient processes and increase productivity
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing to optimize a lead program and strategy
  • Work collaboratively with other Sales Managers to ensure alignment in account prioritization and strategy
  • Create a positive and motivating culture within the team that enables individuals to work towards their career goals

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required, 5+ years of professional experience in a technology environment
  • Experience building and/or optimizing an effective sales development playbook and strategy
  • Experience identifying, recruiting, and developing top talent
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable team player who works well with others in a cross-functional capacity and can build relationships with key senior team members
  • Data driven approach to pipeline management and lead forecasting
  • Excellent people management skills that enables you to balance being an advocate for the individuals on your team while also evaluating their performance objectively
