We're in a unique position to impact everyone in primary care from independent, family-owned practices to world-class health systems. As part of achieving this goal, as a Physician Network Development Coordinator at our organization you’ll have the opportunity to support our Business Development team in building primary care networks across new and existing markets.

Integral to our Business Development team, this role will research and qualify leads and manage ongoing communication with interested physicians and practices. You’ll also play a critical role in coordinating and tracking follow-up with sales prospects by organizing and maintaining associated reports and documents. To do this, the Physician Network Development Coordinator will need to demonstrate flexibility in their approach to support a rapidly growing service within the broader growth organization of VillageMD.

What are some examples of projects you’ll be managing as a Physician Network Development Coordinator at VillageMD?

  • Collaborating with the Director of Physician Network Development in efforts to drive provider growth within a geographic region, with the potential to support multiple regions depending on expansion within the broader market
  • Partnering with Marketing and Business Development teams to obtain or develop relevant materials for use in sales conversations
  • Updating materials and legal agreements with practice-specific information

What you might do in your first year:

  • Act as single point of contact for new and interested providers and practices and assist in follow-up communications
  • Maintain sales tracker to document status and required follow-up for all sales activities
  • Help the business develop team maximize their calendars by masterfully coordinating meetings with sales prospects both via phone and in-person
  • Conduct background research to qualify leads and/or prepare the team for meetings

The following experience is relevant to us:

  • A Bachelor’s degree
  • 1 - 2+ years of sales experience, healthcare sales or physician recruitment experience preferred
  • Healthcare experience working with physician offices preferred
  • Proven experience performing under pressure with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office
  • Willingness to travel to our markets as needed; approximately 25% travel, but will vary based on need
