What You'll Do

As a new role at Uptake, you will be managing the training, tools, collaborations and guidance that helps our Sales team drive more revenue. By working closely with the Sales, Industry and Sales Operations teams, you will determine which factors advance sales throughout the sales cycle to optimize our sales process. You are responsible for the development and productivity of the Sales community. This position requires as much expertise with critical thinking as it does with sales tactics, messaging and education. You will track how sales enablement programs influence conversion rates along the entire lead to revenue process and iterate your programs as necessary. Building our very first Sales Enablement function requires talent that embraces the entrepreneurial nature of our business who also have the operational savvy to know what’s right for our sales team, customers and our company long-term.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of sales training products and programs such as classes, workshops, learning modules, and other job aids and materials for distribution to the Sales team
  • Define and implement KPIs to ensure consistent evaluation and measurement of the trainings for the Sales team
  • Identify knowledge and skills gaps across the company, conduct ongoing needs assessments, and roll-out targeted programming in coordination with the Sales, Marketing and Sales Operations teams
  • Translate business needs into sales training products and programs. Consistently enhances and updates the current training programs and products
  • Guide usage of sales assets and tools (e.g collateral, how-to guides, Salesforce overview) for the Sales team
  • Responsible for ensuring all sales people, at all levels, have the tools, training, resources, and knowledge needed to impact results
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create selling tools that will be used throughout the sales process (e.g call scripts)
  • Strong ability to maintain a constantly changing knowledge base and roll out updates in an informative and timely manner

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 5+ years of sales enablement or sales training experience and delivery of programs
  • Top notch project management skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments within a complex and changing organization
  • Experience building and implementing scalable best in breed training programs that enhance selling skills and sales performance, with a demonstrated track record of behavior-change and improved sales results
  • Experience producing and hosting educational events, driving adoption, and measuring impact of enablement programs
  • Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to communicate concepts in a concise and instructive manner to different skill and experience levels
  • Experience with onboarding pre-sales and sales teams
  • Experience in curriculum development, training and delivery

Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of concepts and technologies behind big data and predictive analytics, predictive maintenance, and the Industrial Internet of Things as they apply to the industrial verticals preferred

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
