Sales Enablement Specialist
Sprout Social is looking for a highly driven, resourceful, and empathetic Sales Enablement Specialist to join our growing Sales Enablement team. This role will be expected to support our Sales & Customer Success organization by running onboarding training sessions in our New Hire program.
Our ideal candidate understands the value and importance the onboarding experience brings to the success of a new hire in a high-performing revenue culture. You are comfortable teaching, facilitating and leading training - both in person and over virtual meeting platforms like Zoom. You possess some understanding of how customer-facing roles like Sales and Customer Success work in a tech company. In addition, you have experience and confidence in working with other stakeholders in the business and coordinating schedules to ensure success.
In this role, you will report to a Manager of Sales Enablement and have the opportunity to interact with a variety of cross-functional teams across the company to deliver and develop high impact training to New Hires.
You will be responsible for delivering live training sessions, doing simulated role plays with New Hires, developing new training (both live training and e-Learning), scheduling sessions for each New Hire class, and soliciting feedback from New Hires and stakeholders on the performance of the training itself.
You have previous experience in facilitating live training and possess a genuine desire to help others succeed. You have a passion for helping others while recognizing that you are driving sales teams to achieve the broader strategic goals of the business. You love working with Sales teams and watching individuals succeed in starting their career at Sprout.
Qualifications
These are the minimum qualifications that our hiring team is looking for in this role:
- Proven track record of 2+ years experience either delivering and facilitating training or performing in a customer-facing role
- Demonstrated passion for training customer-facing roles like Sales and Customer Success
Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:
- Previous Sales & Customer Success experience is a plus
- Any training or certifications around instructional design are a plus
- Familiarity with project management and JIRA (or other project management tool) is a plus
- Experience with a sales methodology (Challenger, Sandler, etc.) is a plus
- Proactive self-starter comfortable taking general direction and turning it into clear deliverables with business impact in a fast-paced, technical environment
Within 1 month, you will...
- Attend Sprout Social onboarding to learn the ins and outs of the New Hire experience, the Sprout product and the value that Sprout delivers to our customers
- Get to know your fellow teammates in the Sales Enablement organization and meet with key stakeholders across Sales to understand current working relationships, including Director and Manager level sales leaders.
- Familiarize yourself with Sprout's brand, values and processes
- Begin to familiarize yourself with how we sell at Sprout
- Begin to understand our core sales methodology - Sandler
- Begin to understand Sprout's core differentiators in the competitive marketplace
Within 3 months, you will...
- Successfully completed Sprout Social onboarding
- Begin delivering live training sessions within our New Hire cohorts
- Become familiar with our peer mentor and coach program in New Hire
- Have an understanding of the key training gaps and needs of the Sales/CS organization from your conversations with sales leaders and enablement
- Understand how our Learning Management System works and how to build and assign training
Within 6 months, you will...
- Be able to schedule and coordinate New Hire cohorts on your own
- Serve as a subject matter expert while having a clear point of view on the most critical initiative-based learning needed for reps and first-line managers in our New Hire program
- Review monthly metrics with your manager to discern the highest potential areas of opportunity for New Hires
- Continue to build trusted relationships with Sales and cross-functional teams that you will be supporting
- Continue to expand the library of enablement content and skills training in New Hire
Within 12 months, you will...
- Have a clear view of the impact your New Hire training and efforts are having on the business
- Consistently and reliably give and receive feedback with peers
- Become a model individual contributor in Sprout's Marketing organization
- Be recognized as an innovator in Enablement who pushes us to consistently exceed expectations
