Position Details:

CSG International is looking for a Solutions Consultant for our Internet TV and Digital Services strategic solutions unit to play a key role in facilitating sales and business development of CSG’s Ascendon software solution set. This individual will play a critical role in the sales and business development process, empowering the team with high quality demonstrations, technical knowledge, and client facing skills to effectively communicate CSG’s value propositions to current customers, sales prospects and partners. This individual will have primary responsibility for being the key technical resource in the sales and business development organizations, assistance in proposal response and management, and demonstrating solution capabilities to current and prospective clients. Additionally, this individual will contribute to the platform evolution by delivering business use-case scenarios into the development organization based on industry trends and customer feedback.

Responsibilities Include:

Product & Industry

  • Work with product and sales teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver solutions with the end-goal of sales in mind.
  • Research the industry on an on-going basis to know what changes may be on the horizon that will impact current and future sales.
  • Provide feedback to the team as well as R&D for process or product improvements as required.
  • Develop product demonstrations and sales presentations that explain key technical aspects of solutions that will benefit customers and prospects.

 

Client Facing Skills

  • Ability to articulate the value propositions of the CSG Ascendon platform through sales presentations.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of what the customer will need in terms of on-going service and manage expectations on the customer and sales side.
  • Become an expert in presenting and demonstrating the functional and technical aspects of CSG’s platform including clear articulation of architecture and environment configuration.

 

Proposal Response and Management

  • Provide clear and accurate technical responses for RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to manage the RFx delivery and follow-up process.

 

Required skill sets, knowledge and experience: 

  • The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 3 to 5 years experience in a client facing consultant or professional services role.
  • The successful candidate should have a desire to work in a dynamic, fast moving environment and frequently working under a deadline.
  • Successful experience in working with sales, product, and engineering staff to deliver high-quality presentations and demonstrations to clients.
  • Strong written communication skills as well as experience in delivering presentations to an audience.
  • Ideally, the incumbent will have experience working in a similar capacity at a vendor supplying software as a service or an internet services company.
  • Ideally the candidate is familiar with Microsoft technologies, video streaming technologies, public cloud infrastructures, HTML, JavaScript, and creative design.
  • Ideally the candidate is proficient in the following applications: Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, Photoshop, and Integrated Development Environments (ex. WebStorm). 
  • Travel may be required 60% of the time.
