The Role:

Crafty is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to lead our prospecting and sales initiatives! Your primary responsibility will be to bring Crafty’s offerings into corporate offices in the Chicago metro area with a relationship-based sales approach.

We are in search of a self-starter who will start running on day one. We want a strategic Sales Executive that understands the importance of relationships in an enterprise sales process, while also optimizing for speed!  

This individual will be Crafty’s first sales hire to date. Since its founding, Crafty’s sales efforts have been entirely founder-led. We’ve grown from small basket e-commerce sales to multi-year contracts with enterprise clients. This Sales Executive will join the Crafty team to evolve and execute a constantly improving sales process.

The individual in this role must be entrepreneurial with a strong focus on building and rebuilding systems. We want this product to continue to grow in scalability as time goes on, with the role of Sales Executive focusing on how to bring more and more clients into the Crafty network.

This role both will benefit from leads generated by our current BDR and also will run an end-to-end sales funnel on their own.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and connect with leads within the corporate office space

  • Research, prospect, and propose potential business deals with clients

  • Close new sales by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations

  • Lead the sales process until the initial sale is made and the appropriate resources are onboard

  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of Crafty services and technology, as well as differentiating us from competitors

  • Prepare monthly sales reports for the leadership team

When we first launched on December 1, 2015, our business was a craft beer marketplace that delivered delicious, small-batch local craft beers to offices throughout the city. We have since evolved into a full-service food, beverage, and event management platform for offices in Chicago. Some of our biggest name customers are Motorola Solutions, Yelp, Uber, Sprout Social, Trunk Club, WeWork, Enova, Expedia, and Coyote Logistics!  From hot coffee to cold brew coffee, from kegs of craft beer to bottles of Bud Light, from LaCroix to Coke Zero, from coffee cups to plastic silverware, and from fully stocked office kitchens to poppin’ events and tastings, we offer a truly comprehensive product portfolio.

Who we are looking for:

Your experience:

  • 5-10 years of proven sales experience, preferably in enterprise sales

  • Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, and keeping a pipeline full of qualified prospects

  • Proven ability to prospect and tenacity to find the decision makers within an organization

  • An active network of contacts and relationships that could potentially benefit from Crafty’s services and technology

  • History of strong business acumen for uncovering, evaluating, growing and closing sales opportunities within a dynamic and extremely time sensitive environment

Your proficiencies:

  • Salesforce

  • Microsoft Powerpoint / Google Pages

  • Skill in consultative selling and relationship building, with a focus on data-driven sales

  • Effective communications skills (oral, written, and presentation)

  • Strategic and detail-oriented planner with strong ability to identify and follow-through on leads to create and close deals

  • Ability to work independently and remotely with high productivity
