About the Role:

In this role you will be part of the all-star team in our Chicago locations. We’re seeking an experienced Sales Manager to ensure the smooth and successful operations of our Bridesmaids and Bride showrooms. This Sales Manager will report to the Regional Sales Manager.

Our Sales Managers lead the store team by overseeing, facilitating and directing the overall duties of daily tasks to achieve financial plan while promoting a positive work environment. Results are achieved through optimizing customer engagement, talent management and increasing productivity, while embodying our Core Values.

You’ll be responsible for the showroom atmosphere, making sure each customer’s experience is both seamless and unforgettable. We’re seeking a team-focused manager to motivate our stylist and showroom assistant staff, leading with integrity and grit, fearless in the face of a busy and ever-changing workplace.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Showroom Experience & Sales:

  • Be a brand ambassador for Brideside, embodying and fostering the Brideside culture & customer experience, and representing the brand to industry partners and vendors.
  • Own sales and profit performance in assigned stores, ensuring that net sales, margin, customer service goals are met
  • Promote and maintain an exceptional employee experience; lead by example at all times
  • Establish, monitor and work with all employees to ensure successful implementation of brand presentation
  • Direct the execution of promotional strategies and programs, assuring that they support marketing and profit objectives
  • Maintain a leadership role in community and charity events
  • Provide consistent feedback to buyers and planners to identify merchandise classifications of high sales or profit potential
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets through effective showroom management and strategic planning.
  • Manage the showroom sales floor and drive business performance, overseeing appointment flow, associate zoning & shift supervision, customer issues, and showroom experience.
  • Coordinate with Brideside’s Marketing team to assist with customer appreciation events
  • Drive strong customer service metrics through various outlets such as: Yelp and customer satisfaction rating 

 

Operations:

  • Manage daily showroom operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Manage customer appointment scheduling and staff appointment assignment.
  • Communicate with Retail Operations Manager on operational needs, including showroom supplies, showroom maintenance, and showroom expense management.
  • Coordinate with Brideside’s Merchandise team in regard to product shipments, inventory management and upkeep

 

Hiring, Coaching, Professional Development:

  • Recruit, hire, and train staff, including full-time stylists, assistant stylists, and part-time showroom assistants
  • Coach and mentor staff to achieve optimal results; including succession planning for current and future positions
  • Manage and develop stylist & part-time assistant teams to deliver an elevated level of sales and service, providing continuous performance feedback and skills training.
  • Oversee staff scheduling
  • Conduct bi-annual performance reviews and regular career conversations to train associates to meet current and future position requirements.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in retail sales, showroom or customer service
  • Must have the availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think quickly and logically
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Professional, great people skills and friendly
  • Motivated self-starter, easily adaptable, confident leader with a positive attitude
  • Must be able to work shift standing and walking, and be able to lift approx.. 20 lbs
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite and G-Suite
  • Experience with Salesforce, Appointments Plus is a plus
