As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for contributing to Relativity’s day-to-day and month-end accounting activities, specifically supporting all aspects of GAAP reporting and the expense cycle. The Senior Accountant works under general direction of managers and senior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP
  • Prepare and review asset, liability and expense journal entries
  • Perform investment, fixed asset and compensation accounting
  • Support the mid-month and month-end closing process
  • Prepare regular account reconciliations and ad hoc account analyses
  • Perform monthly financial consolidation for domestic and international entities
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statement and management reporting
  • Perform technical accounting research and prepare policy memorandums
  • Assist with implementation of controls surrounding the month-end close and financial reporting cycles
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end audit procedures, and assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements and disclosures
  • Implement new accounting standards, as necessary
  • Assist with special projects and take on additional accounting responsibilities as they arise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
  • Licensed CPA is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and works well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn and leverage technology to perform ad hoc reporting and analysis; experience with Intacct or comparable accounting system a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of experience working in general corporate or public accounting
