The individual in this role is responsible for developing and implementing communications plans, internal or external, that effectively engage and/or promote the organization and/or specific initiatives - all with common goal of driving performance. This individual will also facilitate the coordination of enterprise-wide tools, programs, and platforms that support the functions of the sales/commercial services teams. They will ensure best ways to monetize these tools and programs as well as actively seek new platforms to consider ensuring our competitiveness. Examples of communication channel oversight, include: the global sales ops pages on Hyattconnect, onboarding resources and playbooks, global weekly, Americas revenue newsletter, personnel announcements, leadership video communications, trainings, etc. Examples of tools and partners oversight, include: h2h, LinkedIn, Knowland, Regis, Groups360, Cvent, group and event shops, etc. This role requires strong collaboration across teams, regions and functions within a highly matrixed organization.
Responsibilities
In conjunction with key stakeholders in the business, develop strategic programs in support of the region's sales objectives and work with Regional Vice Presidents and Directors of Sales to implement those initiatives in a way that delivers measurable results.
Work with Vice President, Sales Operations - Americas to prepare, develop consensus for, and implement measurable objectives, strategies, and action plans to help support hotels.
Spearhead integrated communications program designed to keep the regional sales effort aligned with organizational goals. Programs to include quarterly written communications, 3 to 4 podcasts annually, managing Hyattconnect, Sales Blitz to maximize the brand's sales efforts, and overseeing development of messages and materials that keep sales initiatives top of mind.
Develop relationships, maintain active management, and act as a company Point of View for product offerings from third-party vendors that may benefit the brand.
Develop strong relationships with leaders of key functions across the enterprise, including marketing, legal, events, regional leadership, and directors of sales at hotel level to enhance credibility and relevance of sales programming and communications function.
Leverage internal and external resources to maximize productivity, results, and message consistency.
Support all Sales Operations initiatives on an on-going and as-needed basis, including, but not limited to ad hoc project management, hotel pre-opening initiatives and training.
Work with new-to-the-company Directors of Sales to onboard them to Hyatt programs and systems.
Work with Hyatt legal team to prepare and update as needed based on the needs of the field group, transient, and event sales agreements for property use.
Work with key stakeholders to develop tools and programs to enhance the on-property sales process.
Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt core values.

Experience
Minimum 10 years sales experience, including managerial/supervisory roles, preferably within the travel and tourism sector, either on property or at the corporate level.
High degree of personal and professional savvy and experience which instills confidence among all internal and external audiences.
Ability to lead through consensus building and strong mentoring orientation.
Experience in establishing credibility and presenting programs and ideas persuasively to strong individuals in leadership positions.
High level of energy and enthusiasm.
Proven ability to write and edit a wide range of materials, including problem statements, key messages, speeches, and other documents.
Conceptual, strategic, and creative thinker, with unquestionable integrity.
Flexible, stimulated by challenges, open-minded.
Public Company experience highly desired.
Education
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality, required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Be willing to obtain any certifications, licenses or registrations as needed.
Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Strong working knowledge of productivity software e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Ability to learn new software
