The Team
We are looking to hire an experienced Security Risk Management Specialist on our Governance, Risk, and Compliance team. This role will be responsible for identifying and managing security risk across Cloudflare's production environment and critical business functions.
At Cloudflare, risk management lays the foundation for protecting Cloudflare and our customers. The Risk team identifies risk throughout the company and prioritizes mitigation efforts to drive Security team priorities. We do not believe in tick-box security, so for us risk management is a pathway to doing things right.

What you'll do

• Conduct risk assessments across the organization
• Complete controls testing to ensure that Cloudflare's controls are operating effectively
• Recommend risk treatment plans and drive the remediation of risk findings
• Work with GRC team to continuously improve Cloudflare's security controls
• Provide guidance on control health checks to Security Automation team
• Support quarterly risk reviews with security and technical leadership
• Maintain our Security Risk Management Program documentation and Cloudflare's risk register
• Some travel may be required to engage teammates and stakeholders in San Francisco, Austin, or other global Cloudflare locations.

Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• Experience typically gained in 4-8 years working in Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance
• Experience conducting and managing security risk assessments
• Experience recommending mitigating controls and driving risk remediation
• Experience reporting on risks and program operations to management
• Solid understanding of security risk and control frameworks such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST SP 800-53, and NIST SP 800-30
• Solid understanding cloud security architectures, technologies, and security controls
• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with a sense of curiosity

Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location.

• Estimated annual salary of $112,000 - $125,000.
• A stock plan (RSU) will also be added to total compensation

Equity
This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
