What we’re looking for:
We are not just looking for another sales rep. We are building a team of truly distinctive sales leaders hungry to disrupt the world of manufacturing. The ideal candidate is not just a top performer, but someone who is excited to shape the trajectory of a high-growth, VC-backed business by identifying, closing, and delighting new customers.
Ideal candidates have an engineering and sales background, with prior success earning the trust of engineers and other key decision makers throughout the product development lifecycle across a wide range of industries, including aerospace, defense, commercial, automotive, industrial and medical devices. You aren’t afraid to make 30+ calls per day to break in to new accounts, while also finding time to ensure your core set of customers are more than satisfied.
Responsibilities:
- Grow revenues of a customer account base of 50+ companies through proactive sales across phone, email, social media, and in-person customer visits.
- Prospect, identify, and close new contacts within customer base, delight customers and drive repeat business
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior level key decision makers. This will typically be engineers and engineering management but may include executive management.
- Proactively manage a robust sales pipeline (Salesforce)
- Communicate effectively and efficiently via phone, email and in-person meetings
- Wear multiple hats: sales strategy, lead generation, sales rep, and manage account managers
- Identify prospect needs, understand business drivers behind requests, and explain the Fast Radius value proposition
Qualifications:
5-7+ years sales experience; prior experience in manufacturing, quick-turn prototyping, or product engineering services a strong plus, but if you are a top 5% sales leader not in this industry, let’s talk
Extremely proactive and upbeat
Startup hustle and energy – willing to do whatever it takes to please customers and grow you book of business
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify and provide solutions for varying customer needs
Strong use of insights and data-driven decision making to inform the sales process
