Senior Manager of FP&A will sit within our NA Agency Finance team.

As the Senior Manager of FP&A you will take the lead in Agency financial consolidation, business partnering for overhead expenses and agency staffing, work closely with Finance and Agency management to drive financial acumen, financial accountability and planning and analysis to steer the agency towards sustainable growth.
This position reports to the Senior Director of Finance (North America), currently has 1 direct report, and is based in the Chicago office. You will have responsibility for managing key internal relationships with agency stakeholders across all levels, as well finance and Accounting teams in Chicago and London.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- You will partner with agency and Finance/Accounting teams throughout the business, including senior leadership in the US and UK, to help ensure the agency financial performance is pro-actively managed to deliver on our financial goals and achieve sustainable, profitable growth.
- You will have a deep understanding of the work that goes through the agency in order to assess business results.
- This is a very business-facing role in an agency which is all about relationships, so you’ll naturally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to balance a service mentality with an ability to challenge and push back.
- We would love for you to be an experienced user of Excel and comfortable generating analysis files from scratch, in a way that presents data clearly and accurately – suitable to be put in senior leadership - and on which sound decisions can be made.
- The Senior Manager of FP&A is a very autonomous role, so you will need to be comfortable managing time, prioritizing tasks and responding to short-notice business needs.
- You will manage the development of North America Agency region financial plans in collaboration with Agency stakeholders, broader Finance team, and supervisors including monthly reporting, annual budgets and strategic plan, quarterly forecasts, KPI’s, and other ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- You will own preparation and analysis of actual regional Agency results and provide meaningful explanations for variances vs. prior year, budget, and forecasts.
- You will lead monitoring and analysing expenses including identifying opportunities to improve agency-related costs, managing oversight of staffing levels, and leading or contributing to analysis and tracking of technology and office CAPEX investments.
- You will help develop financial performance review packages for senior management meetings and own the development and presentation of monthly departmental reporting packages to department leads.
- You will collaborate with Financial teams across the regions to align on best practices and ensure we are making best use of available technology where possible to deliver accurate, concise and timely data that aids financial awareness and decision-making.
- You will develop, manage, and communicate Finance calendar, including deadlines and key reporting dates, to the broader North America finance team.
- You will be the main Hyperion system administrator for the North America Finance team.
- We would love for you to be confident explaining and demonstrating financials and financial concepts to non-finance personnel.
- We would love for you to help lead the agency financial training activities and educate all areas of the business to facilitate accountable, high-quality decision-making and ensure everyone is aware of how TMS financial processes work and why compliance is critical.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE WOULD LIKE YOU TO HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required
- 8+ years’ experience in Finance and Accounting
- Proficiency in US GAAP accounting required. CPA desired but not mandatory.
- Pro-active behaviour, tenacious and willing to drive behaviour change
- Marketing Agency experience preferred
- System experience – Hyperion and/or NetSuite experience a plus
- Experienced in reacting to changing financial conditions and managing through both growth and contraction
- Technology literate and eagerness to upskill in appropriate new products
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Excel skills and systems literacy
- Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail and meeting deadlines
