As the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Practice Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing the Salesforce practice within the organization. You are primarily responsible for overseeing and leading the implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions within the organization. Your role involves providing strategic direction, managing a team of professionals, and ensuring the successful delivery of innovative marketing automation solutions to clients. You will play a critical role in driving the growth and excellence of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud practice. You will be responsible for driving continued innovation, maintaining best practices and fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
This position sits within our Technology Team but will regularly interface with a large, cross-functional team of developers, solution architects, Salesforce Specialists and marketing strategists to help bring digital customer experiences to life. This individual will also work closely with our Business Development Team to support pursuit efforts. As such, the ideal candidate will be dynamic and flexible with a strong affinity toward data and process.
This position necessitates knowledge of varying industry trends, Salesforce Marketing Cloud products to include MC Personalization and Data Cloud and associated best practices and marketing technologies, so the ideal candidate should possess a desire to continually learn, improve and apply subject matter expertise to individual client needs. You must currently hold a Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification to be considered for this role.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Salesforce marketing Cloud practice
- Stay aware of the latest trends and updates in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and marketing automation
- Establish and enforce best practices for Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation and optimization
- Lead, mentor and inspire a team of Salesforce Marketing Cloud specialists, including developers, consultants and administrators
- Work closely with a diverse global delivery team, including project managers, developers, Salesforce SMEs, quality assurance professionals and other specialists
- Communicate effectively with clients, internal stakeholders and team members across different time zones
- Define global project delivery methods and process and implement proactive strategies
- Provide guidance on project assignments, ensuring the team delivers high-quality solutions that meet client objectives
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture
- Collaborate closely with the sales and business development teams to understand client requirements and contribute to the pre-sales process
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights and recommendations on Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering effective and results-driven marketing automation solutions and ongoing managed services
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud projects, ensuring they align with client goals and are delivered on time and within budget
- Offer deep knowledge in SQL, AMP script data extensions, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure successful deployment, integration and adoption of Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality and scalable Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions
- Conduct regular reviews of marketing automation campaigns and processes to optimize performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, customer support, campaign management, strategy and data analytics, to align Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions with overall marketing and business objectives
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify training needs within the Salesforce marketing Cloud practice and develop training programs to enhance team skills
- Encourage and support team members in obtaining relevant Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications and reminders to remain current
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Technology, Marketing, Math or related field or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of SFMC experience including implementation, optimization, campaign development and integration experience
- Proven leadership experience in managing a Salesforce Marketing Cloud practice or team
- Strong project management skills with experience in Agile methodologies
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications are a must
- Additional Salesforce certifications are highly valued
- Development experience in SQL, AMP script, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated history of establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients and Salesforce representatives
- Ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities
- Work effectively both in a team setting and independently
- Adaptable and solution-focused with strong troubleshooting skills
- Willing to be on call for any QA support outside of business hours
- Able to travel up to 30% of the time
