Assistant Videographer/Producer

MAIN COURSE (Job Responsibilities):This position will be responsible for producing video content featuring product offerings, training material, programs and events to be viewed on various media channels to help enhance our customer as well as Field’s experience. The position will also help the in-house Video Editor/Videographer capture and edit video, and will provide continuous support to the marketing team in the execution of projects and deliverables requiring video content.

- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience
- Take a brief to grasp production teams needs and specifications
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Create rough and final cuts
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
- Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Provide additional support as second camera during shoots
- Shoot live events (meetings, etc.) as needed
- Transports, sets up, and operates various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production
- Operates and maintains proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment
- Collects b-roll footage, as well as interviews
Education and Relevant Experience
- Proven work experience as a video editor
- 2 + years of video editing experience in a corporate or video production agency required
- 2 + years of experience with live video products as well as producing digital content which includes pre- production and post-production responsibilities.
- 2 + years of experience demonstrating ideas and objectives effectively using visual mediums for projects involving product demonstrations, promotional campaigns, testimonials and live events which capture and engage viewers.
- BS degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Experience with filming and video equipment
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Creative mind and storytelling skills
- Determines what camera equipment is necessary and obtains equipment
