Business Analyst - Corporate Systems

The Role:
Morningstar is looking for a highly versatile, motivated and collaborative Senior Business Systems Analyst / Platform Administrator. Working collaboratively with our business partners and project team, the analyst is responsible for creating business and technical requirements by analyzing business processes and related systems, build and conduct pilots, assist the development team in design, create test plans, and conduct quality assurance tasks to ensure that our business partner’s needs and expectations are met. This a “hands on” position is based in our Chicago office.
Responsibilities:
+ Gather and translate business requirements to technical requirements
+ Design, document, build, test, and deploy configuration-based change requests
+ Negotiate solutions to complex scenarios with multiple parties
+ Maintain a holistic view of all business processes and users in the system to understand the cross-functional impacts with regard to configuration, process, workflow, and reporting
+ Participate in the change management/training strategy, content development, and delivery of training
+ Review release notes and provide recommendations to improve the current Salesforce org
+ Fulfill roles in multiple, concurrent projects, as needed
Qualifications:
+ 5 years of successful IT experience and at minimum 2 years extensive experience in implementing and supporting Salesforce, Atlassian or Office 365 platforms.
+ Proven implementation experience for large complex projects with multiple stakeholders
+ Past experience with Knowledge Management and/or Communities implementations considered a plus
+ Salesforce, Atlassian or Microsoft certification required
+ Past consulting or customer success manager experience for client service and/or call center operations considered a plus
+ Keen attention to detail and proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
+ Energy and desire to thrive in a fast-paced organization
+ Excellent communication (written and oral) and presentation skills
+ A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
