 Business Development Channel Representative is responsible for generating outbound sales demand and managing inbound sales demand for a strategic technology and marketing channel.  By generating sales leads and executing strategic campaigns, you are expected to deliver on weekly and monthly lead generation quotas and KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).  We expect you to aggressively outperform KPI’s while maintaining a highly professional and organized message supporting project44’s solution value proposition.  In addition to business development requirements, you will be responsible for managing inbound sales leads directly associates with a strategic alliance partner.  This includes direct inbound inquiries and managing the process from partner lead intake to direct engagement with prospective joint customers.

Primary Responsibilities: 

Business Development Channel Representative will have the following primary responsibilities:

  • Drive outbound sales demand generation.
  • Accurately manage, track, and forecast sales activity directly related to strategic channel partner.
  • Develop business development outreach campaigns.
  • Communicate the project44 value proposition, service, and solution strategy to prospective leads and client.
  • Deliver on weekly and monthly demand generation goals as defined by sales leadership.
  • Accountable for revenue generated from both outbound demand generation and strategic channel alliance.        
  • Ability to articulate and promote project44’s solution value proposition to senior level buyers and key executives.
  • Partner with internal executive management to establish and implement best practices for business development improvements.
  • Drive for results and success by conveying the appropriate sense of urgency while managing issues to closure.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • A minimum of 2 years of business development (outbound demand generation) or sale experience in supply chain technology (TMS, WMS, ERP) or 3PL/Transportation Services providers.
  • Experience and understanding of transportation industry, specifically the North American LTL market.
  • Aptitude for understanding how supply chain technology solutions solve customer business issues.
  • BA/BS required.
  • Strong CRM skills.  Preferably Salesforce.
  • Broad analytical skills.
  • Driven and self-motivated with a high level of detail orientation and drive to succeed.
  • Ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Strong understanding of transportation industry and associated terminology.

Travel Requirements: Limited.
