Reverb.com seeks an experienced Global Sales Director to guide our worldwide sales and account management strategy. The Sales and Outreach team is responsible for building and supporting Reverb’s diverse seller base. The team works closely with the best private and professional sellers around the world to secure inventory, introduce new features, and help grow their account’s business, ensuring Reverb is a crucial partner. This is a global role, responsible for building and managing teams across North America, Europe and Asia. You will work with senior management to define goals, assess performance and motivate and manage the team. This will include planning and executing based on our broader global strategy, and ensuring clear plans for our individual global markets.
Responsibilities:
- Grow and diversify Reverb’s seller and inventory base, both domestically and internationally.
- Train, manage, motivate and lead a growing team of 15+ professional located in the US, UK, France, Germany, Australia and Japan.
- Contribute to the development and roll out of new products and features, ensuring adoption and participation across our sellers.
- Develop and execute educational/training campaigns and other programs to ensure seller success.
- Oversee a global calendar of tradeshows and events.
- Pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to increase Reverb’s global presence.
Requirements:
- 5+ years leading a sales, business development or account management function with at least 15 direct reports.
- International experience directly managing a remote global team.
- Passionate music-fan with strong gear knowledge, existing network and connections in the Music Instrument industry a strong plus.
- Experience analyzing and reporting on performance of non-traditional sales functions.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a medium to large business setting.
- Extremely effective written and verbal communication skills with an unmatched attention to detail.
- MBA a plus.
