Global Talent Acquisition Operations Manager

This role is HYBRID, on-site 3 days a week at our Northbrook or Chicago, IL office.

The Talent Acquisition Operations & Solutions Lead will work proactively with the global recruiting teams, other HR COEs, and our IT partners to create and implement processes and systems that empower an extraordinary new hire and onboarding experience. In an effort to forge meaningful experiences for our employees, finding those opportunities that can be "uniquely UL", this position is calling for a creative and dedicated individual who will approach this role with a strong balance of continuous improvement, technical savvy, operational excellence, and innovative drive.
With thousands of hires happening annually, this role can create an impact felt across the entire global organization in the form of a seamless new hire and onboarding experience. This role will be based in either our Northbrook or Chicago offices and will manage a small global team.
Position Overview
Owning the operational elements of the recruitment process, with a focus on the new hire and onboarding experience, the Global Talent Acquisition Operations Leader will balance the strategic and creative elements of designing and launching the new hire/onboarding program, while remaining laser focused on delivering a customer-centric experience that creates a memorable "moment that matters" for our new colleagues. This is a newly created position to additional elements of the Talent Acquisition and new hire processes are to be scoped and may be added to the service delivery catalog of the team.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and documenting current and proposed Talent Acquisition processes to discover potential gaps and propose efficiencies and future process changes, with a focus on the new hire and onboarding period.
- Crafting and detailing scalable solutions to drive improvement and standardization within the recruitment and new hire processes across our global teams.
- Creation of an experience that leverages technology to scale but never loses the human element, ensuring candidates and employees feel cared for and supported.
- Handling relationships with vendors, including product updates, contract renewals, value analysis and business meeting reviews.
- Applying operational dashboards, controls, and reporting to independently audit, track, and drive optimal process adoption and performance.
- Development and management of the new hire and onboarding modules within ServiceNow, with integrations across various systems/vendors (Oracle HR, background checks, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
Leadership and ability to coach, develop and inspire a global team to go above and beyond.
- Deep experience in Talent Acquisition and/or HR Operations, ideally within a global company
- Strong TA/HR systems understanding.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, with an openness to refine and change course as needed.
- A balance between an operational mindset with a flair for the creative in designing and executing on programs and experiences that are globally consistent and compliant, while also being uniquely innovative and driving desired results and outcomes
- Acting as a continuous learner, role modeling that innovation never ceases and even a strong process has room for improvement.
