SUMMARY:

We are building a team of high-impact inside sales associates to accelerate new business development. We are a rapidly growing start-up business that is out to revolutionize packaging for the 21st century! You will be part of a seasoned sales organization and own a large portfolio of small to mid-size consumer-packaged goods manufacturers. You will make connections, develop relationships, and close the deal – rapidly. The successful candidate will largely work independently but will be directly supported by the Vice President of Sales for Mid Market Account. The role requires an energetic person motivated to make the numbers and excited about selling our solutions into some of the most recognizable consumer brands in the world.

In addition to base salary, you will be eligible for monthly commissions based on the number of contracts you close. Commissions are based on annual contract value and there is no cap on your earning potential. Top performers will make top dollar!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate leads and prospects within assigned manufacturer portfolio

  • Proactively reach out to identify interest and gather requirements for new business development

  • Be an effective champion for ItemMaster’s brand platform and differentiate our services from those of our competitors

  • Identify key players/decisions makes and negotiate sales contracts of values up to $25,000 per contract

  • Upsell existing customers to maximize annual contract value

  • Schedule meetings with customers and follow-up in a disciplined way

  • Use Salesforce CRM tool on a day basis (training provided) to manage customer account information, ensuring accurate status of relationship and strength of the business development opportunity.

  • Help the sales organization reach their goals by contributing new ideas and sharing knowledge across the team

  • Strong objection handling skills. Ability to pivot conversations to close deals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years experience with sales, in particular inside sales

  • Highly organized self-starter experienced with quota-driven sales, and motivated by making the numbers

  • Call center background – cold calling customers and building rapport to identify business development opportunities

  • Ability to upsell existing customers in quick, transactional deals

  • Success selling into large corporate organizations and comfortable partners with mid- to senior-level customers and decision makers

  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral, very comfortable conducting business over the phone

  • Courageous and tenacious, able to prioritize in a high-demand environment

  • Comfortable with remote manager

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 to 2 years experience with consumer-packaged goods/retail grocery environment

  • Knowledge and experience with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) sales

  • Exposure/familiarity with Salesforce
