SilkRoad is seeking an energetic, hands-on Inside Sales Director, to refine our telephonic sales strategy and approach and lead our team of Sales Development Representatives and Inside Sales Representatives.

 

The Inside Sales Director will be responsible for driving growth by optimizing both our sales development and inside sales strategy, building the team, and utilizing technology to generate incremental sales.  You’ll be in charge of campaign development, analyzing sales data from Salesforce, and partnering with cross-functional business leaders to improve sales effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Providing strategic direction around optimizing the role of the sales development and inside sales organization.
  • Managing, mentoring and motivating Sales Developments Reps and Inside Sales Reps to achieve goals, objectives and quotas.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional leaders in field sales to optimize account coverage model.
  • Partnering with HR to refine the recruiting strategy for future inside sales talent.
  • Partnering with Marketing, Field Sales and HR to enhance effective new hire on-boarding and continuous education training programs to support sales success.
  • Creating innovative ways to drive and expand sales into existing accounts and new business prospects.
  • Identifying methods to optimize salesforce.com, Pardot, Sales Loft and other tools in the technology stack.
  • Discovering new sales intelligence tools for more effective account prioritization and lead generation.
  • Creating and sustaining an exciting, high-performance work environment that helps inspire and motivate sales success.
  • Coaching Sales Development team on lead generation and cold-calling to ensure deals close successfully.
  • Leading group and 1:1 meetings and training sessions with both the Sales Development and Inside Sales teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to lead teams through organizational change while exceeding sales targets and improving operational excellence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
  • Experience defining and implementing transformational business strategies.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to exercise judgment in prioritizing tasks in order to meet schedules and deadlines.
Required Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in telephonic sales leadership in a B2B setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required.
  • Experience successfully selling software, experience with HR software is a strong plus as well as sales experience in the SaaS space.
  • Previous experience in a Sales Development and Inside Sales position.
  • Proven experience and sales success in outbound and inbound telesales and applying basic marketing principles and practices.
  • Experience with sales tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, etc.
