Job Description: The IT Manager’s role is to ensure that all IT operations are streamlined and aligned with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Manager will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related projects for both our corporate and call center locations. The IT Manager will work closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. The IT Manager will also define and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices. This role will also involve overseeing the ground up build out of our new corporate office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of IT systems and projects and allocation of resources for two locations
- Install and configure computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, fax machines, VoIP phones, scanners and more
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and support of all IT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, and software
- Maintain and secure passwords, file system security and data integrity for desktop environment
- Work closely with all external IT vendors
- Make recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and work with various vendors for procurement
- Manage entire purchase of inventory related to hardware, software and other IT supplies
- Work with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations
Desired Skills and Experience:
Ideal candidate must have demonstrated success providing expertise for all company-wide IT needs for 200+ employees. In particular, ideal candidate will be process-oriented with an ability to lead all IT projects and processes. In addition, candidate must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in desktop support, server support, systems or network engineering
- 2 years of directly related work experience in management of information systems
- Strong technical knowledge of telecommunications, network and PC operating systems
- Strong technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols and standards
- Experience managing a team in a fast paced environment=
- Extensive application support experience
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
- Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required
