You are a hands-on, driven, passionate leader with a background in Lean manufacturing/management, process improvement, Six Sigma, or other related field.  You are confident in your ability to develop and implement continuous improvement across the organization with sensitivity towards people culture, organizational design, and customer/client relations.  You travel on-site to assess and train staff; you are people-focused, high energy, and motivating.  You are a self-starter, very comfortable with technology, resilient, and adaptable to changing circumstances.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Reporting to the COO,  fully responsible for the “IM Lean” transformation -- a culture of Lean Management around goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization.
  • Develop and manage all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement. Employ Lean methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives.
  • Outline direction, set pace, and deploy Lean initiatives to ensure consistent and rigorous application across multiple operating locations.
  • Accountable for the achievement of business improvement objectives by developing enthusiastic, motivated, and flexible team members who are passionate about building a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop KPI’s to report on progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing, issues, critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organization by sharing ideas, successes, and failures. 
  • Maintain clean, organized, safe, and efficient work environment and build the IM Lean culture of  continuous improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience in continuous improvement role with demonstrable impact.
  • Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Business Process Management, or related field.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of Lean tools, such as Value Stream Maps, Kaizen, A3, 5S, and others
  • Ability to engage staff at every level of the organization.
  • Bachelors/Masters degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to move about in an office and warehouse environment; including sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time each day. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to use and reach with hands and arms to finger, handle, or feel, and talk/hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
